FVMQ (Fluorosilicone) O-rings

FVMQ (Fluorosilicone) O-rings

The twin challenges of heat and chemistry, we’ve got you covered !

FVMQ (Fluorosilicone) O-rings

Fluorosilicone O-Ring is a high-performance seal that combines the properties of fluoroelastomer and silicone rubber. It is made of fluorosilicone rubber (FVMQ), a material that is a copolymer of fluoroelastomer and silicone rubber, and thus inherits the advantages of both. Below are some detailed descriptions of Fluorosilicone O-Rings:

What is the FVMQ O-rings Material Properties ?

  • High temperature resistance:Fluorosilicone rubber has good high temperature resistance and can usually be used in the temperature range of -60°C to +200°C, which makes it still maintain good elasticity and sealing performance in high temperature environments.
  • Chemical resistance:Fluorosilicone rubber has good resistance to some chemicals, especially to oils, fuels and some organic solvents.
  • Electrical insulation properties:Fluorosilicone rubber has good electrical insulation properties, suitable for sealing electrical and electronic equipment.
  • Weathering and aging resistance:Fluorosilicone rubber has good weathering and aging resistance, and can maintain its performance in outdoor and long-term use conditions.

Which are the FVMQ O-rings Application areas ?

  • Automotive:In automotive engines and transmission systems for sealing oil, fuel and coolant.
  • Aerospace:In aerospace equipment, for sealing hydraulic systems and fuel systems.
  • Electronics industry:In electronic equipment and circuit boards, to seal and protect electrical connections.
  • Industrial equipment:in a wide range of industrial machinery and equipment for sealing lubricants and chemicals.

What should we pay attention to ?

Fluorosilicone rubber typically costs more than regular silicone rubber, but less than perfluoroether rubber, so fluorosilicone O-rings are priced somewhere in between.

What of the FVMQ O-rings Specifications and Standards ?

  • Colors: Blue, Black
  • Temp:-60℃ – 200℃
  • Hardness range: 30~90 Shore A
  • Processing technology: molding
  • Standard: GB/T3452.1-2005, AS-568, DIN 3771, JIS B2401, ISO 3601-1
