FEP/PFA O-Ring is a high-performance sealing product that combines the elasticity and sealing properties of rubber with the chemical resistance of Teflon (polytetrafluoroethylene, including materials such as FEP and PFA). It consists of an internal rubber layer (e.g. silicone rubber or fluoroelastomer) and an external relatively thin Teflon FEP or Teflon PFA cover layer, which is compounded by a special process, we can provide FEP/Silicone, FEP/Viton, FEP/EPDM, FEP/Silicone Hollow and PFA/Silicone, PFA/Viton, PFA/EPDM, PFA/Silicone Hollow which are with FDA, EU1935/2004 and USP Class VI Approved

What is the FEP/PFA O-rings Material Properties ?

• Excellent chemical resistance: it is suitable for almost all chemical media, including strong acids, strong bases, organic solvents, etc., showing outstanding chemical resistance and resistance to swelling
• Excellent corrosion resistance: can maintain stable performance in a variety of harsh environments, not easily affected by corrosion
• Wide range of temperature application: the use of the coating layer of a wide range of temperatures, FEP temperature resistance 205 ℃, PFA temperature resistance is higher, up to 260 ℃. Some products can be used for a short period of time at higher temperatures.
• Good compression resistance: the combination of rubber core and Teflon cover makes the O-ring maintain good elasticity and sealing under continuous pressure, and can be re-installed and used.
• Anti-friction: Teflon FEP/PFA has a very low coefficient of friction (only 0.1~0.2), which helps to reduce wear and prolong service life.
• Excellent sealing durability: the overall sealing performance is consistent, the elasticity and compression of each point is uniform, with excellent sealing durability and long life.
• High pressure resistance: able to withstand high media pressure and maintain a stable sealing effect.

What should we pay attention to the Installation Precautions ?

• The installation area should be smooth and free of burrs, grooves and sharp corners to ensure the sealing effect
• Use clean light oil or grease to lubricate the sealing surface and its contact parts for easy installation.
• Avoid strenuous bending of the O-ring during installation to prevent Teflon folds from affecting use.
